About me
Hi, I’m Joseph,
I have been teaching English to foreigners since 2003 in London, UK. I’m fascinated by the vibrant diversity this city has to offer and I’ve taught students from over 77 countries over the years. In early 2009, I developed a passion for IELTS preparation when I had to take the test myself and make sure my overall score was 9.
My IELTS preparation approach stems from the blend of being a non-native English teacher, an educational coach and an IELTS candidate under a tremendous pressure to perform well in the test. In other words, I’ve been through it all and I’m sharing my experience as a student, exam taker, teacher and teacher trainer.
A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart.
In the process, I got insights into what it means to have to prepare for this notorious test. I tried and tested different approaches and techniques until I found what works best. Everything you learn with me is deeply rooted in experience – the knowledge I share with you doesn’t come from an answer key in an IELTS course book.
